Richard Jordan is a Fort Lauderdale sailor who enjoys writing freelance articles for local papers such as Waterfront News and the Broward Legacy. He is a contributing
editor at Blue Water Boats, a collaborative online resource of offshore sailboat reviews,
and writes a company blog, Waves, for his family’s yacht brokerage. He grew up living aboard a 53-foot Lawley sloop on the New River before spending his college years in the Puget Sound area, graduating with a Computer Science degree from the University of
Washington in ’08. These days he is a yacht broker at the family firm.
